Favorite Wedding Venues We Photographed in 2025
Choosing Venues That Let the Day Breathe
Every year, we photograph weddings in a wide range of settings—private homes, historic estates, restaurants, hotels, and destination retreats. What makes a venue memorable to us isn’t scale or trend. It’s how a space allows a wedding day to unfold.
In 2025, the venues that stood out most shared a common quality: they gave couples room to be present. These were places that supported unhurried timelines, encouraged guests to linger, and didn’t require over-production to feel special.
Below are a few of our favorite wedding venues we photographed in 2025—chosen for their atmosphere, intention, and the way they shaped meaningful celebrations.
Crow’s Nest — Montauk, NY
Crow’s Nest continues to feel effortlessly relaxed in the best way. Weddings here often unfold like extended weekends—friends gathering, conversations stretching late, and no pressure to rush from one moment to the next. The coastal light and natural flow of the space create an environment where documentary photography thrives.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns — Tarrytown, NY
Blue Hill offers a quiet confidence that’s hard to replicate. The architecture, landscape, and overall experience feel deeply intentional, allowing weddings to feel immersive rather than performative. It’s a space where restraint works in your favor, and the imagery reflects that sense of clarity and purpose.
Hideaway at Hull Bay — St. Thomas, USVI
Destination weddings can sometimes feel hectic—but Hideaway at Hull Bay offered the opposite. The setting encouraged calm, connection, and ease. With nature doing most of the work, celebrations here felt grounded and intimate, even while taking place far from home.
Canoe Place Inn — Hampton Bays, NY
Canoe Place Inn strikes a thoughtful balance between history and modern comfort. The property supports both structure and spontaneity, which makes it especially rewarding to photograph. Weddings here felt elevated but never rigid—an ideal combination for couples who value both design and warmth.
Hotel Lilien — Catskills, NY
Hotel Lilien felt like a true retreat. The setting naturally encouraged guests to slow down and stay present throughout the weekend. Weddings here leaned understated and personal, with design choices that worked in harmony with the surrounding landscape rather than competing with it.
The Wadsworth — Middletown, CT
The Wadsworth offered a sense of history and permanence without feeling imposing. Its architecture and grounds provided a strong sense of place while still allowing weddings to feel intimate and relaxed. It’s a venue where timeless imagery comes naturally, without needing excess.
What These Venues Had in Common
Though these venues span different regions and styles, they shared a few defining qualities:
They supported slower, more intentional timelines
They allowed couples to settle in rather than perform
They didn’t require heavy décor to feel complete
These are the environments where genuine moments surface—and where wedding photography can feel honest, editorial, and lived-in.
Looking Ahead
As we move into 2026, we’re excited to continue photographing weddings in spaces that prioritize feeling over formality. Whether close to home in New Jersey or farther afield, we’re always drawn to venues that allow celebrations to unfold naturally.
