Their very first date was at Oasis Café in Bayside, Queens, where Joe rushed through his UPS route just to make sure he wouldn’t be late. In fact, he even brought a change of clothes with him so he could go straight from work. He showed up in his work boots — worried Agnes might judge him — but instead, it only made her like him more. By the end of the date, they had already planned their next one.

We loved hearing about those early memories during their engagement session. It’s such a privilege to document couples who carry that same excitement and nervous energy into their wedding day. Agnes and Joe’s relationship is built on thoughtfulness and care — like when Joe once went out of his way in the Dominican Republic, without speaking Spanish, to find medicine when Agnes got sick. The Wedding Day Story

We started the day at the Hilton Garden Inn Roslyn, where both Agnes and Joe were getting ready. There was so much excitement in the air as Agnes shared champagne with her bridal party and Joe got ready nearby with his groomsmen. One of our favorite parts of wedding photography is capturing those in-between moments: the nervous laughter, the proud parents seeing their children all dressed up, the hugs, the details.

Their first look at Planting Fields was one of those unforgettable moments — Joe’s reaction said everything. After portraits with their families and wedding party, we headed to Soundview Caterers for their ceremony. The couple honored Joe’s grandfather, who had recently passed, with a white rose and candle on an empty seat. It was a touching reminder of the loved ones who remain present in spirit.

As the sun began to set, we photographed Agnes and Joe’s romantics by the water. Golden hour is one of our favorite times of day, and this one did not disappoint.
