A Classic Long Island Celebration at Fox Hollow for Sarah and Zachary

On a late summer Saturday, just as the season tipped into golden hour, Sarah Marchesiello and Zachary Skiptunas tied the knot with the kind of grounded elegance that felt distinctly Long Island, distinctly them. Their wedding, held at The Fox Hollow in Woodbury, NY, was the culmination of years of easy laughter, shared ambition, and the kind of connection that makes even a coffee date at a corporate Starbucks feel cinematic.

The day began in two locations: Sarah at her parents’ home in Melville, a space filled with the hum of sisters, glam squads, and quiet anticipation. Zach prepared just down the road at the Fox Hollow Inn, keeping things calm before the formality of the ceremony at St. Elizabeth’s Church.

There was no first look—Sarah and Zach saved that moment for the aisle. It was worth the wait. As Sarah walked down the aisle, the emotion on Zach’s face told its own story—one of deep admiration, relief, and sheer awe. Father Irenel officiated a full Catholic mass, surrounded by family, many of whom had traveled from different corners of their blended families. It was poignant. Real. A celebration not just of two people, but of the people who made them.

Following the ceremony, portraits took place across locations—garden shots at the church with grandparents, family formals, and romantics back at Fox Hollow’s manicured grounds before cocktail hour began.

Guests gathered for the reception in the Grand Ballroom, where the team from Long Island Sound had already set the tone for a full-on party. From the moment Sarah and Zach made their grand entrance, it was clear: this wasn’t a sit-back-and-sip-your-wine kind of evening. This was a celebration.

Florals by Flowers by Burton softened the space—classic, unfussy, and timeless in palette. Dinner was served plated-style as speeches gave way to dancing, laughter, and the kind of cross-generational joy that fills a room from floor to ceiling. There was no garter toss, no send-off theatrics—just genuine moments strung together across the night, anchored by Sarah and Zach’s easy dynamic.

They’ll honeymoon in Portugal—a fitting follow-up for two people who began their love story walking around the Vessel and dreaming big. Lisbon, Porto, and the Algarve await, with plenty of wine, culture, and coastline to soak in.

For now, though, they’ve started their next chapter exactly as planned: surrounded by everyone they love, at the heart of Long Island, with good music, good food, and one very meaningful “I do.”
