Provincetown Engagement Photos

Every summer my family vacationed in Eastham, Massachusetts, playing endless rounds of mini-golf, and spending days on the beach until the sunset chased us inside. I relish those memories like dreams; pure experiences of childhood bliss. It’s funny, though, that in all of those years we never drove another 30 minutes up to the tip of the northeastern archipelago to the famously raucous town of Provincetown. So when Corey and Kelsey gave us an excuse to visit the place for the first timeit was more than a welcome adventure.

We started the engagement session in the main causeway of the eclectic town, right in front of a restaurant called the Lobster Pot, a local joint that Anthony Bourdain famously got his start. We poked down a couple alleyways to escape the crowds and enjoy the nooks and crannies of the historic town. The charm and energy was just as I imagined—fun, unpredictable, and boundless. From there, we drove out to the outermost tip of Cape Cod where ocean waters meet the Cape Cod Bay and it did not dissapoint.

When we arrived to the beach there was a live reggae band and people drinking and dancing everywhere. It reminded me of being at Jones Beach Theater on the south shore of Long Island where there is an unwritten rule of “good vibes only.” We resisted the urge to join the party and traversed the dunes down to the shore. The end of their engagement photo session in Cape Cod felt like one of those surreal moments where despite the coastal wind the air seemed to stand still. Just like one of those childhood memories that I had in Eastham; the only thing missing was mini-golf. That may have to be arranged.
