Jenna & Rishabh’s Wedding at The Lannin on Long Island

A Joyful Fusion Wedding at The Lannin | Jenna & Rishabh

Some love stories feel like they’re pulled straight out of a movie, and Jenna & Rishabh’s wedding day at The Lannin in East Meadow, NY was every bit as cinematic as their journey together. Blending two beautiful cultures and traditions into one heartfelt celebration, their wedding was not only a reflection of their love, but also of their families, heritage, and joy for life. As the photographers behind Apollo Fields, we had the honor of documenting every moment of their incredible day.

From First Date to Forever

Jenna and Rishabh’s story began in the most real, almost sitcom-worthy way possible. On their very first date, Jenna thought she was getting stood up—she even joked with the bartender about it. But in walked Rishabh, still in scrubs from a long shift, radiating his passion for medicine and his genuine spirit. What could have been a missed connection instead blossomed into something unforgettable.

Their love deepened over weekends away in Montauk, thoughtful birthday surprises, and shared adventures that showed them they were meant to build a life together. Rishabh once described Jenna as the person whose eyes “lit up the room,” while Jenna realized she had found someone who would never quit on her—a steadfast partner who valued her space, her dreams, and her heart.

On December 26, 2023, during a family trip to Jamaica, Rishabh proposed on the beach during a private dinner under the stars. Even though Jenna suspected the surprise (in her words, she “ruined it” a little), the evening was filled with love, laughter, and the perfect soundtrack—Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. That proposal marked the beginning of planning a wedding that would bring together all the people and traditions they held dear.

The Venue: The Lannin

The couple chose The Lannin for their wedding—a timeless Long Island venue known for its elegant ballrooms and lush outdoor spaces. It provided the perfect backdrop for not just one, but two ceremonies: a Hindu-inspired celebration honoring Rishabh’s heritage, followed by a Catholic-inspired ceremony for Jenna’s. This dual-ceremony day was the ultimate symbol of their unity and respect for each other’s families.

Getting Ready

The day began with laughter, champagne, and a flurry of excitement as Jenna got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids, sisters, and parents. She wore a stunning Jimme Huang bridal gown for her Western ceremony look, complemented by hair by Crystal Serrano (@undertheveilny) and makeup by Monet Cress (@monet.beauty).

Meanwhile, Rishabh prepared for the big day with his groomsmen and family, donning traditional attire gifted by his mother from India for the Hindu ceremony.

One of the most touching moments was Jenna’s first look with her dad before heading out to see Rishabh for the couple’s first look. When Jenna and Rishabh finally met at The Lannin before the ceremony, the emotion was palpable—smiles, happy tears, and a quiet recognition that this was the beginning of forever. As their photographers, we were honored to capture these intimate exchanges, the ones that happen in a blink but last forever in a photograph.

Two Beautiful Ceremonies

At 5:00 pm, guests gathered for the Hindu-inspired ceremony, led by Pandit Ram. Under a beautifully designed mandap by Verbena Designs (@verbena_designs), Jenna and Rishabh exchanged vows in vibrant attire, surrounded by rich cultural traditions, color, and family blessings.

An hour later, the couple transitioned seamlessly into their Catholic-inspired ceremony, officiated by Laura Sutherland (@sutherlandlaura). Jenna walked down the aisle in her white gown, and the energy shifted into a classic, timeless romance. Seeing both sides of the family come together to honor and embrace these two traditions was incredibly moving—and a perfect reflection of Jenna & Rishabh’s love story.

Portraits & Family Moments

With a wedding party this big and joyful, portraits were both fun and full of laughter. Jenna’s bridesmaids in their chic gowns and Rishabh’s groomsmen in sharp suits brought the energy, while flower girls Palmer & Bailey provided the cutest moments.

Family portraits were equally important to the couple, ensuring both sides—Theofield and Jethanandani families—were honored and included. One highlight was capturing both families together immediately after the Catholic ceremony, a rare and special gathering of generations.

As storytellers, we at Apollo Fields love photographing these in-between moments—the unposed laughter, the quick glances, the way parents beam with pride. Jenna & Rishabh’s day was filled with these little treasures.

The Celebration

By the time cocktail hour began at 7:00 pm, guests were ready to celebrate. The reception space at The Lannin transformed into a lively, music-filled party thanks to Absolute Entertainment (@absolutedjsli). Jenna and Rishabh shared their first dance to You Are the Sunshine of My Life by Stevie Wonder, a perfect choice that echoed the warmth of their relationship.

The night continued with heartfelt toasts, incredible food by The Lannin’s team (thank you for feeding us, too!), and a packed dance floor that carried on until the end of the night. Guests sipped cocktails, enjoyed cake by Dortoni’s Bakery (@dortonibakery), and danced the night away in celebration of Jenna & Rishabh’s new chapter.

A Few Words From the Couple

When asked what they were most excited for, Jenna said it best: “I’m just excited to officially gain Rishabh as my partner in life and flip to the next chapter in our love story.”

For Rishabh, it was all about community: “It doesn’t really matter what the ceremony is, what we do—it’s just that we have the people we love in our lives around us to celebrate.”

And celebrate, they did.
